City Facilities Management worked in partnership with the United Kingdom’s largest food wholesale operator to implement a strategic self-delivery retail maintenance service.

A team of skilled retail maintenance technicians were specifically employed to deliver the partnership. The dedicated workforce managed all aspects of maintenance in the wholesalers’ premises, including electrical, lighting, PAT testing, drainage, plumbing, joinery, painting, energy and flooring. At the heart of the team’s approach was a commitment to service excellence, health and safety assurance and legislative compliance.

City’s open book policy, meant that its partners had total visibility of all costs and remained in control. Throughout the process, team members conducted forensic data-gathering and analysis of problem areas, to create and implement efficient and effective solutions. This approach, together with lower third party costs and improved fridge service allowed the partnership to deliver cost savings of over £155,000.
